Turn Google into your own personal (free) Napster
Google is good for so many things, among which is searching for all sorts of files, including MP3's. Here's a quick primer:
Just substitute the term "Nirvana" for any band or singer you might be looking for, and your search will lead you to open indexes that contain downloadable music files.

Tip: Try removing quotes from your search to get more results.

It’s easy to turn this into something easy to use in firefox with the built-in keyword search.
In your firefox bookmarks, create a new bookmark with the following fields:
Name: google music search
Location: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=eOy&q=-inurl%3A%28htm%7Chtml%7Cphp%29+intitle%3A%22index+of%22+%2B%22last+modified%22+%2B%22parent+directory%22+%2Bdescription+%2Bsize+%2B%28wma%7Cmp3%29+%22%s%22&btnG=Search
keyword: gms
The location is the same as what gets generated by the search in the article, but I’ve replaced Nirvana with %s (the firefox substitution token).
Now, when you want to find a new artist/song, just go to your firefox toolbar and type “gws Led Zeppelin” and you’ll see all the free Led Zep tunes out there.

أن يأمر رئيس أكبر دولة في العالم بتنكيس أعلام بلاده حداداً علي ضحايا لا نقبل سوي التعاطف معهم ، فهذا لا غبار عليه ، فهم في النهاية أخوة في الإنسانية ، حتى لو لم يكن بينهم عرب ومسلمون وحني مصريون ، وأن تقوم الدنيا ولا تقعد ، وتدار حرب كاسحة من أجل جندي مخطوف يقتل من أجله المئات ويختطف بدلا منهم العشرات بينهم رجال دولة وقانون الخ فتلك قصة أخري ، و إن اختلف السيناريو اختلاف جذري فهنا جلعاد ليس ضحية ولكن صناعة الأسى جعلت منه كذلك !!! ..
أما في لوكيربي فالسيناريو هنا يختلف عن سابقيه ، لكننا هنا أيضا نتضامن مع أهالي الضحايا ، حتى ولو كانت لنا تحفظات علي المغالاة في الضغوط التي مورست علي ليبيا …
كل ذلك كما قلنا لا غبار عليه ، لكن أن تكون وراء ذلك صناعة وتجارة إعلامية مفزعة تحتكر الأسى لفئة إنسانية دون أخري فتلك قصة أخري تستلزم الانتباه ، والأهم من ذلك أن تلك اللعبة الإعلامية تدبر وتدار بآلية لا يمكن أن ننزهها من فكرة التآمر علي الشعوب الضعيفة أو دعنا نكون محددين ونقول المستضعفة …
مليون قتيل عراقي , أكرر الرقم مرة أخري مليون قتيل عراقي منذ احتلال أمريكا ، منهم أكثر من 60 قتيل يوميا حثي يومنا هذا ولم ينكس علم واحد ، لا في أمريكا ولا في غيرها ، الآلاف المختطفين الفلسطينيين واللبنانيين في السجون الإسرائيلية ، ومازال غيرهم يختطف حتى يومنا هذا ولم تقم حروب ولا حتى مناورات !!

علي الجانب الآخر لم يملك ضحايا آخرون آليات وعدة تلك الصناعة ليستأثروا ولو بجزء يسير من التعاطف العالمي ، فلا أعلام نكست ولا أحد اقتص من جورج بوش علي جرائم حربه الإنسانية الغير مسبوقة ، والسفاحون الذين ارتكبوا المذابح البشرية المثبتة تاريخيا في حق اللبنانيين والفلسطينيين ..
في لبنان محققون دوليون لهم أكثر من عام أو يزيد يحققون في مقتل الحريري ، لسبب وحيد هو الشك أن قاتله عربي !!! ، ماذا لو اتجه الشك نحو جهة أخري !!!! ، أليست أرض لبنان هذه هي ارتكبت عليها أبشع المذابح في تاريخ الإنسانية ، ولم تقم لجنة تحقيق ، ولم يتحرك ساكن !!!!! ، ومازال مرتكبيها ينعمون بالتقدير والثناء في بلدانهم علي خدماتهم وأياديهم البيضاء !!!!!!!!! ( عذرا علي كثرة علامات التعجب .. أحدكم يقترح بديلا لها )
المدهش أن هذه الصناعة الإعلامية في بعض الأحيان لا تجد ما يغذيها فتلجأ إلي أرض الواقع ، الحقيقة ، ملفات بلا حصر مغلقة ، وبمنطق الشماتة ، أو كاستراحة المحارب الذي يعد نفسه لجولة أخري تتسلي بفتح ملف أو أكثر والأمثلة هنا غير قليلة لكنني فقط أشير إلي تحريك قضية الأسري المصريين في حرب يونيه 1967 ، هذا الملف الذي فتح ليغلق ، أقول فتح ليغلق ، ولا أقول فتح ثم أغلق ، الفارق هنا شاسع .. ملفات عديدة تعاملت معها صناعة الآسي الإعلامية بنفس المنطق ..
أخيرا وليس آخرا أقول للذين ما زالوا يرددون هذا التعبير المتخاذل ( سياسة المكيال بمعيارين ) أن يتخلوا أن يتخلوا ولو قليلا عن جبن المرأة اللعوب التي تخاف غضب عشيقها البلطجي ، في حين لا تتورع عن رفع حذائها في وجه زوجها المسكين المصاب بالعنة ، أقول لهؤلاء وغيرهم اللعبة أكبر من ذلك ، وأنتم تعلمون ذلك جيدا ، وان كنتم لا تعلمون فالمصيبة أعظم ..

هذا هو الجحيم بدون قصد
فهذا لا يعني بالمرة أنك جميل ، بل ربما أغالي وأقول لا يعني أنك إنسان بالمرة !!! ، أتعرفون ما الذي كان لا يعجبني في ” نجيب محفوظ “، أنه كان شخصا منضبطا ، يشرب سيجارة واحدة كل ساعة بالضبط ، يذهب إلي المقهى في ميعاد محدد ، يقابل أصدقاؤه في ميعاد محدد ، يحزم أمتعته إلي إسكندرية في نفس الميعاد من الشتاء والي نفس المكان كل عام ، يأكل بنظام ، يمشي بنظام ، يكتب حتى بنظام كموظف لدي الكتابة !!!!! وهذا بالضبط ما كان يستفزني ، ويقال أن محمد عبد الوهاب الموسيقار الكبير كان كذلك ، هل هناك أمثلة أخري ؟؟؟؟
ربما , وربما أيضا كان هذا الذي نعرفه عن محفوظ أو عبد الوهاب مجرد قشور من الحقيقة ، ربما كانت حياتهم سلسلة طويلة من أخطاء لم نعلمها ولم يعلمها أحد.. أقول هذا لأخفف قليلا من أهوال ما سيأتي بعد قليل ..
الإبداع في جوهره هو ضد كل ذلك ، الإبداع في جوهره هو تحريك للثابت ، انحراف بمعني آخر عن النمط القائم ، لو أننا ظللنا نمطيين وملتزمين لظل الإنسان في الغابة مستسلم كما بقية الكائنات لقدره ، أول نار أوقدها الإنسان كانت خطأ ، انحراف عن المألوف ، الابتكارات الإنسانية هي أخطاء خالصة إن شئنا أن نكون صادقين مع أنفسنا
الآلية والنمطية هي العدو الطبيعي للإبداع ، للابتكار ، أخطاؤنا التي نعتز بها هي إبداعنا الحبيب ، الخطأ في حالتنا هذي ليس جريمة ، بل ربما كانت الجريمة هي العكس ، أن نمشي وفق مخطط ، أن نتحرك وفق مقدر ، وفق غرائز معروفة سلفا ، القبلة هي خطأ إنساني وإبداع خاص ، فالحيوانات لا تقبل أثناء ممارسة الجنس ، الحب بالمعني الأفلاطوني أيضا خطأ إنساني فالحيوانات لا تعرف الحب ، تعرف الجنس الذي يحافظ علي النوع ، أن تكون هناك مواسم للسفاد والتكاثر هذا انحراف إنساني ، خطأ أيضا ..
حني الجمال نفسه هو أخطاء ، لماذا ينظر البعض للخلاسيات بوصفهن أجمل ما عرفه الإنسان من جمال ، إنها الأخطاء تفعل فعلها الجميل ، الانحراف عن المألوف ، في يوم ما كانت المرأة الريانة ، البدينة في الأرياف هي نموذج الجمل الكامل لأنها انحراف ، خطأ يقع بين قاعدة كانت النساء وقتها ونتيجة تقشف العيش نحيلات ، في المجتمعات الصحراوية التي ما زالت تعاني من التقشف ( ليس في الخليج طبعا ) ما زال هذا النموذج قائم ، والعكس أيضا صحيح ففي المجتمعات الرغدة التي انضم إليها الخليج العربي نجد السائد هو البدانة والنحافة هي الاستثناء ، هنا يتحول النحول انحراف عن القاعدة ، الخطأ الذي كان قاعدة يصبح هو الجمال !!!!!!
علي المستوي الشخصي قلّب ذاكرتك ستجد فقط الأخطاء هي التي تعيش في ذاكرتك ، أخطاؤك الحبيبة ، أخطاؤك القريبة إلي قلبك ….
عني أنا أعز ما لدي هي أخطائي ، أخطائي التي لا أعتبرها جريمة بل أعتبر الجريمة أن لا أكون بلا أخطاء ..

You might want to check out http://skreemr.com
Its an mp3 search engine with some nicely formatted results, and links to lots of info about the bands. It has a google-style search and the links are checked on a regular basis to make sure they work.

yes, it’s still working. Make sure you copy/paste the example first, then change the name of your artist. Trying to type out the example will probably lead to a typo somewhere.
