Message from the Amazon S3 team
Quick note from the Amazon S3 team on some of the feedback we've been receiving from the boards. We have recently experienced a very large, unanticipated rise in user activity and have been working around the clock to add more hardware to the system to support the load. We are also working to better distribute load across the system as the new hardware comes online, in order to alleviate the hot spots that have been visible to some of you as degraded performance and elevated error rates.
We are implementing a wide range of measures whose benefits you should soon begin to see, and that will restore Amazon S3 to the performance and availability levels that you have come to expect.
