Feature Repuest : Static IP address for webhosting and persistance
Since the beginning of this service, I have been looking for two features.
1. Static IP address : It would be suitable for web hosting if we have this feature. We can point our domain name to the ip address provided. If something goes wrong and the instance has to reboot, we face difficulty in modifying the domain name setting.
2. Persistence: Either abnormal termination of programs or the manual shutdown, if the data is lost, it causes a problem. Even though backup is important, the inconvenience of abnormal termination has put me off from using the service. May be they can charge a lower fee for instances that are shutdown (if they opt for persistence). My idea is that it would be helpful if the developer creates a persistent instance, he gets one and he is released from paying the rent only when he releases the instance totally. Only when he releases the persistent instance totally that his data is destroyed.
I have read about this service long back and I am writing with that knowledge. Please correct me if I am wrong.
